Samsung N130 Recovery Cd

Re-visiting this topic since my hard disk died prompting me to re-create a recovery partition on the replacement. Write up as below, hopefully moderators can sticky this for benefit of others. If anyone has an alternate working method to using the recovery DVD to re-create the recovery partition, feel free to contribute.

About Samsung Recovery Solution III & the Recovery Partition ============================================== Samsung Recovery Solution III is essentially a re-branded version of WinClon, a commercial drive-imaging software. Other than through a backup DVD created by SRS III, you definitely need your recovery partition to restore any image.

3. Note the Recovery Disc provided by Samsung is NOT the same as a SRS-created recovery disc. It is merely a customized (Samsung branded) Windows XP installation disc which installs Windows XP without any Samsung drivers e.g. for network, sound, touchpad etc. IT DOES NOT re-create the recovery partition.

Re-creating the Recovery Partition ========================== The most easiest way is to do it via your DVD recovery disc. If you remove all partitions from the hard disk ie. blank hard disk, the recovery partition will be re-created.

the complete backup of my current state of windows xp came at 6870MB. so i had 3 files user1.w01, user1.wcl and user1.woo. I changed the names of all 3 to init and i tried to import it into the recovery section although the image files were over 6GB. The import was successful. Then i exported the image back to my other partition just to check the file size. the file size of the exported image was 4.51GB

Samsung recovery solution can remove all user accounts If you perform a "complete restore" process. But, if the latest version of SRS installed on your Samsung laptop. Then, SRS will not remove the initial admin account. In addition, if you haven't created a backup, you will lose all your important data. So I suggest skipping this solution. Apart from SRS, there are some other ways to unlock the laptop without losing data .

Step 4: After that, select installed windows click on 'next'. In system recovery options, you will able to see the command prompt. To start CMD, click on it. To change "Ease of access" option with CMD, type the following command. cd C:\Windows\System32 ren utilman.exe utilman_bak.exe copy cmd.exe utilman.exe exit

So, these are the four methods which you can use to reset the Samsung laptop password. If using Windows 10 with Microsoft account, then try resetting Microsoft account password. If using Windows 7 or 8 with local admin, then try the first and second method. If nothing works then, use Androidphonesoft password recovery solution instead.

Followed the instructions, and it works a charm! Now able to boot my USB copy of Windows 7, and as an added bonus also able to boot the long corrupted recovery partition on the D: drive in case of any major malfunctions. 2ff7e9595c
